ADC Records Membership Registration Surge in Zamfara
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has recorded a significant increase in membership in Zamfara State, with over 12,000 new members registered across the state’s 14 local government areas.
The State Chairman of the party, Kabiru Garba-Gusau, disclosed this on Tuesday while addressing party supporters at an e-registration centre in Sabon Gari Ward, Gusau metropolis.
He described the development as a clear indication of the party’s growing acceptance among the people of the state.
Garba-Gusau said the rising membership reflects widespread dissatisfaction with existing political structures and a growing belief in the ADC as a credible alternative.
According to him, the quality, experience, and commitment of the new members have further strengthened the party’s resolve to build a formidable structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Party leaders in the state expressed confidence that the influx of new members, particularly at the grassroots level, has laid a solid foundation for future electoral success.
They noted that the growing support base has boosted morale within the party and reinforced its readiness to compete effectively in the coming polls.
One of the newly registered members, Musa Garba, said his decision to join the ADC was motivated by a desire to contribute meaningfully to positive change in Zamfara State.
He added that the party’s ideology and vision for good governance align with his personal aspirations for development and accountability.
Although the Zamfara chapter of the ADC is yet to witness high-profile defections from major political figures, party officials insist that the steady rise in grassroots membership signals increasing momentum and public trust.
With thousands already registered, the party says it remains optimistic that the growing movement will translate into electoral victory and usher in a new political direction for Zamfara State in 2027.
