JAMB warns against biodata changes, double registration for 2026 UTME

The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board, JAMB has warned 2026 UTME candidates that no changes will be allowed to biodata once registration is complete.
Using data pulled from NIMC, the board aims to prevent identity manipulation and ensure information remains consistent throughout the entire admission cycle.
Multiple registrations for the same examination year are strictly forbidden and may lead to total application cancellation.
Candidates with errors should seek official corrections instead of re-registering. Using multiple NINs to bypass these rules or impersonate others will result in severe legal and academic sanctions.
Applicants must ensure their own fingerprints are correctly captured at accredited CBT centers to avoid verification issues. If technical difficulties arise, candidates should visit a JAMB office rather than allowing centers to bypass the process. Proper biometric enrollment is mandatory for examination entry and future admissions.
Registration runs from January 26 to February 28, 2026, for both UTME and Direct Entry candidates.
Applicants must verify that their NIN details are accurate before starting, as JAMB pulls data directly from NIMC. Any discrepancies must be resolved with NIMC first to avoid permanent errors on the application.
