Adeleke Signs ₦723 Billion 2026 Osun State Budget into Law
Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State on Monday, signed the 2026 Appropriation Bill into law, paving the way for the full implementation of the state’s budget for the coming year.
The ₦723 billion budget, officially titled the “Budget of Economic Transformation”, was passed by the Osun State House of Assembly after careful legislative scrutiny.
Governor Adeleke, during the signing ceremony at the Osogbo Government House, assured that the budget would be fully executed to benefit the people of the state.
He stated that the 2026 budget aims to consolidate the achievements of the past three years, complete ongoing projects, and introduce new initiatives aligned with his administration’s five-point development agenda.
“The budget is designed to strengthen the welfare of our people and ensure the continuity of development projects across all sectors. We remain committed to executing it efficiently and on schedule,” Adeleke said.
The governor also emphasized that 2026 is an important year, both for governance and public service delivery, urging all ministries and agencies to prioritize effective and timely implementation.
The budget covers key sectors, including health, education, infrastructure, and social welfare, ensuring that citizens experience tangible improvements in living standards.
With the signing, the Osun State Government is now empowered to disburse funds and commence projects, marking a significant step toward achieving the administration’s development goals for 2026.
