Anthony Joshua Involved in Road Crash in Ogun, Two Feared Dead

 

World-renowned boxer Anthony Joshua has reportedly been involved in a road accident in Makun area of Ogun State, with two persons feared dead.

According to eyewitness accounts and reports circulating on Monday, the crash occurred along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway axis in Makun, near Sagamu. The vehicle said to be conveying the former heavyweight champion was involved in a collision under circumstances that were yet to be officially clarified as of the time of filing this report.

Sources at the scene said the accident led to the death of two occupants, while Joshua was reportedly rescued alive. Details of his condition were not immediately confirmed, though unverified reports suggested he sustained injuries and was taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment.

Officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and other emergency responders were said to have arrived at the scene to manage traffic and commence preliminary investigations into the cause of the crash.
