Agreement is Agreement”: Wike Warns “Emergency” Rivers Tinubu Supporters
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has sent a stern message to politicians in Rivers State whom he labeled as "emergency" supporters of President Bola Tinubu.
Speaking on Sunday to stakeholders in the Emohua Local Government Area, Wike insisted that political alliances must be built on consistency and that existing agreements within the state must be honored. Wike highlighted the loyalty of the Ikwerre ethnic group, noting that they stood by President Tinubu during the 2023 elections when his victory was far from certain. He claimed that the votes from the Ikwerre heartland were instrumental to the President’s success in Rivers State and promised that this support would be replicated in the 2027 polls. The Minister took a swipe at those who have recently joined the "pro-Tinubu" camp, mocking them for shouting "On Your Mandate" only after the "food is ready." He contrasted this with his own position
