President Tinubu Travels to Europe, Set for Abu Dhabi Sustainability Summit

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has left Lagos for Europe as part of his end-of-year vacation, ahead of a scheduled official visit to the United Arab Emirates in early January.

The President departed on Sunday, December 28, and is expected to proceed from Europe to Abu Dhabi, where he will attend the 2026 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) Summit.

His participation follows an invitation from the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week is a week-long global gathering that brings together policymakers, industry leaders, investors, and civil society actors to discuss pathways toward sustainable growth and development.

The summit serves as a platform for advancing dialogue on climate action, innovation, and long-term economic resilience.

This year’s edition, themed “The Nexus of Next: All Systems Go,” will focus on bridging ideas with practical solutions by aligning innovation, financing, and human capital to accelerate sustainable progress worldwide. President Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria after concluding his participation in the summit.
