My Achievements Will Speak”: Governor Otti Confident of “Smoother Ride” in 2027

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti has declared that the 2027 general elections will be a much easier journey for him compared to his previous political battles. Speaking with confidence about his administration’s performance, the Governor stated that he is not intimidated by the upcoming polls, as his track record in office will serve as his primary campaign message.

Governor Otti shared these views during the 2025 Aro Day celebrations in Arochukwu Local Government Area. He noted that unlike the 2023 elections, where he had to “sell promises” to win the trust of the electorate, his next campaign will be built on the tangible progress the people of Abia State are already witnessing.

“2027 will even be smoother, I can assure you,” he told the gathering. “Now there are one or two things we can point to.”

Addressing the growing political tension in the state, Otti expressed concern over those already fixated on the next election cycle. He remarked that many people are causing themselves unnecessary stress over 2027, even though the election is still a long way off.

He emphasized that his focus remains on fulfilling his current four-year mandate rather than being distracted by future political maneuvers.

With roughly 18 months left in his first term, the Governor reaffirmed his commitment to delivering on his promises to the people.

He maintained that the visible impact of his administration’s policies would naturally pave the way for a smoother electoral process, allowing the work already done to speak for itself when the time comes.
