Ogunniyi Empowers Ojomu Balogun Constituents with you Skills, Tools and Cash Support
Residents of Ojomu Balogun Constituency benefited from a wide-ranging empowerment programme organised by their representative, Honourable Seun Ogunniyi, as part of his 2025 constituency empowerment initiative.
The programme, which took place on December 21, 2025, focused on vocational training, entrepreneurship development and direct financial assistance aimed at improving the economic capacity of constituents. Beneficiaries received various tools, equipment and cash support to strengthen their trades and small-scale businesses.
Items distributed at the event included plumbing equipment, welding machines, furniture-making tools, automobile repair tools and sewing machines, catering to artisans and entrepreneurs across different sectors. In addition, about 60 beneficiaries received cash grants of N50,000 each to support their businesses and personal development.
A video from the event showed residents expressing appreciation to the lawmaker for the empowerment initiative. One of the beneficiaries, Abdulhamed Abdulaziz, said the programme enabled him to acquire essential tools and equipment for his welding and fabrication business. He thanked Honourable Ogunniyi for supporting artisans and creating opportunities for economic growth.
Another beneficiary, Simat Oluyemo, also expressed gratitude to the lawmaker, praying for God’s continued guidance and blessings upon him. She described the empowerment exercise as impactful and timely for the people of the constituency.
Addressing attendees, Honourable Ogunniyi said the empowerment programme was designed to promote self-reliance and reduce unemployment in Ojomu Balogun. He disclosed that equipment for plumbers, welders, furniture makers, mechanics and tailors had been made available, alongside financial support for selected beneficiaries.
The lawmaker assured residents that the empowerment initiative would be extended to more people, noting that beneficiaries would be reached in batches to ensure that everyone in the constituency benefits. He urged recipients to make proper use of the items and funds provided, stressing that they should be used for productive and positive purposes.
Honourable Ogunniyi reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare and development of Ojomu Balogun Constituency, pledging to continue initiatives that would improve the lives of the people.
