TSG Begins Nationwide Rice Distribution Ahead of Yuletide

The Tinubu Support Group (TSG) has commenced a nationwide rice distribution programme, with the formal take-off held on Saturday at its headquarters in Maitama, Abuja.

The exercise attracted leaders and members of various pro-Tinubu support groups drawn from different parts of the country, marking what the group described as a festive outreach to Nigerians.

At the event, the Convener of TSG, Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, was quoted as saying that the initiative was designed to support citizens during the Christmas period and to appreciate them for their continued faith in the current administration.

He reportedly noted that the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, had demonstrated firm leadership in addressing the country’s economic difficulties and remained committed to listening to the concerns of Nigerians.

Faleke was further reported to have expressed gratitude to members of the support groups for their sustained commitment to the party and national development, acknowledging their contributions toward strengthening democratic governance.

According to him, members were also urged to brace up for forthcoming party activities, including programmes expected to be unveiled soon.

He reportedly stressed the importance of active participation in the second phase of the voter registration exercise scheduled to begin in January, calling on members to mobilise eligible Nigerians to register.

Faleke was also quoted as reaffirming that TSG played a foundational role in President Tinubu’s political journey, explaining that the group identified his leadership capacity early and believed his experience was vital for the country’s progress.

In his remarks, the Director-General of TSG reportedly applauded Faleke for his inclusive leadership style and for facilitating the rice distribution initiative.

He disclosed that beneficiaries would be drawn from all 36 states of the federation, describing the programme as a symbol of unity and appreciation to the groups that contributed to President Tinubu’s electoral success.

The Director-General was also quoted as highlighting several achievements of the Tinubu administration, including efforts at economic stabilisation, the introduction of the student loan scheme, improved financial support for states, and measures aimed at strengthening local government autonomy.

He encouraged members to continue offering prayers and support for the TSG leadership.

The event was attended by several prominent figures, including Senator Magnus Abe; Baffa Dan Agundi, Director-General of the National Productivity Centre; Abah Isah, Special Adviser to the President on Special Needs; Hon. (Engr.) Magaji Da’u Aliyu, Deputy Director-General (North) of TSG; and Chief Ayuba Gufwan, Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities.
