Natasha Marks 46th Birthday, Reaffirms Commitment to Service
Kogi lawmaker, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, on Tuesday marked her 46th birthday with a message of gratitude, reflection, and renewed commitment to public service, highlighting both her personal journey and ongoing community-focused initiatives.
In a post shared on her official Facebook page, the lawmaker expressed appreciation for what she described as God’s grace and strength throughout her life. She also prayed for continued guidance as she navigates her responsibilities in public office.
“Dear God, as I turn 46 today, I thank You for grace, strength, and growth. Bless my journey ahead with wisdom, courage, and compassion,” she wrote, adding a prayer for the safety and wellbeing of her family, friends, constituents, and well-wishers.
The senator’s birthday message came a day after she revisited her alma mater, Federal Government College (FGC) Idoani in Ondo State, where she once served as Head Girl in 1997. During the visit, she announced several legacy projects aimed at strengthening the school’s infrastructure and improving the learning environment.
According to her, the projects, expected to be completed next year, include a 2,000-seat capacity auditorium, a 500-seat multipurpose hall, 10 staff quarters, 300 solar streetlights, and a 50,000-litre solar-powered water system.
She noted that the gesture stems from appreciation for the role the institution played in shaping her early development.
“FGC Idoani nurtured my character, discipline, and leadership; thus, giving back to my alma mater isn’t politics, it’s gratitude,” Akpoti-Uduaghan said, emphasizing that her intervention was driven by personal conviction rather than political strategy.
As she celebrated her birthday, the senator underscored the connection between her personal milestones and her broader vision for community upliftment, reiterating that service, gratitude, and purposeful leadership remain at the core of her journey.
