Omisore Rejects Disqualification, Files Appeal to APC Panel

Senator Iyiola Omisore has denied reports circulating in sections of the media claiming he has been disqualified from participating in the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election in Osun State slated for December 13, 2025.

In a formal notice of appeal addressed to the party’s screening appeal committee, Omisore expressed “grave consternation” over the publications, stating that he has not received any official communication from the APC Screening Committee or any organ of the party notifying him of such disqualification.

According to the reports trending online, Omisore was purportedly disqualified on the grounds that he failed to secure nomination by financial members of the party.

The former senator, however, dismissed the claim as false and malicious.

He described the allegation as “completely untrue, embarrassing, and designed to achieve a premeditated outcome.”

Omisore insisted that the reason being circulated does not reflect the facts and stands contrary to the internal processes of the party.

Citing the absence of any direct correspondence confirming the alleged sanction, Omisore urged the appeal committee to review the decision attributed to the Screening Committee and intervene appropriately.

He concluded his appeal by requesting the committee to “kindly review this decision… and provide appropriate remedy.”

The APC has yet to issue an official statement clarifying the status of his candidacy at the time of filing this report.
