Man City Humble Sunderland as Chelsea Stumble at Bournemouth

Manchester City crushed Sunderland 3–0 at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, 6 December 2025, while Chelsea was held to a 0–0 draw by Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

The city was ruthless from the start. Ruben Dias opened the scoring, followed by Joško Gvardiol’s header before halftime. Phil Foden wrapped up the win in the second half, as Pep Guardiola’s men dominated possession and chances. Sunderland’s afternoon worsened when Luke O’Nien received a red card late in the game.

Chelsea, meanwhile, struggled to break down a stubborn Bournemouth defence. Alejandro Garnacho’s header hit the post, and striker Liam Delap left the pitch with a shoulder injury, leaving the Blues frustrated.

Bournemouth threatened on the counter but held on for a point.

The win keeps City in the Premier League title race, while Chelsea’s winless streak stretches to three, raising fresh questions about their form and consistency.
