Bandits Attack Worshippers During Early-Morning Prayer in Sokoto

 Armed bandits attacked worshippers during the Subh (dawn) prayer in Kiba Ruwa, a community in Sabon-Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State, early this morning.

 

Reports indicate that two people, including the local imam, were killed in the assault, while several others were abducted.

 

The attackers fled the scene before security personnel could intervene.

 

Authorities in Sokoto State have confirmed the attack and said search and rescue operations are underway to locate the missing worshippers and apprehend the assailants.

 

The state government has urged residents to remain vigilant, especially during early hours of the day.

 

This incident adds to a growing number of violent attacks targeting rural communities in Sokoto, highlighting ongoing security challenges in the region. State and local leaders are calling for strengthened security measures to protect vulnerable communities.
