Penitent Omokri Commends President Tinubu’s “Christlike” Leadership After Ambassadorial Nomination

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as rare qualities of compassion and statesmanship, following his nomination as one of Nigeria’s ambassadors.

In a statement shared on his verified X handle on Sunday, Omokri said the President’s conduct embodies forgiveness, national devotion and timely guidance, adding that these attributes have shaped his personal outlook on leadership.

Expressing gratitude for his nomination, Omokri acknowledged President Tinubu for what he called “visionary and exemplary leadership,” saying the President had broadened his understanding of patriotism.

According to him, “The President has shown me the essence of forgiveness and strengthened my grasp of what it means to serve one’s country. His actions reflect Christlike virtues. He is a leader suited for this moment and deserves the cooperation of all Nigerians.”

Omokri went on to appreciate his parents for their formative influence and thanked his wife, Hana, for her unwavering support, especially during periods when he faced backlash over his open loyalty to the President.

He further hailed the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, describing him as a man of exceptional character.

“If the goodness in the world could be embodied in one person, it would be Malam Nuhu Ribadu,” he wrote.

Omokri concluded his message with prayers for the nation, expressing hope for unity, stability and progress under President Tinubu’s administration.
