Accord Party a Credible Platform for Adeleke’s Re-Election, Says Oyinlola
Former governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, has described the Accord Party as a fair and credible platform for Governor Ademola Adeleke’s re-election in 2026.
Oyinlola made the remarks while addressing journalists, saying the party offers the stability, transparency, and organizational structure needed to consolidate ongoing development in the state.
He stressed that the Accord Party is more suitable for Adeleke’s re-election than other parties, including the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
He noted that internal crises within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have made it necessary to explore alternative platforms. “Accord is a fair, stable, and forward-looking platform. It provides the right environment for Governor Adeleke to continue his good work,” Oyinlola said.
Oyinlola also dismissed speculations about a possible defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC), warning that such a move could undermine Adeleke’s political prospects. He ruled out parties like APGA and NNPP, citing regional and structural limitations.
Party leaders reaffirmed their commitment to mobilizing support for Adeleke, emphasizing that the Accord Party is prepared to back his re-election bid fully. Oyinlola called on supporters across the state to rally behind the governor, saying continuity is crucial to sustaining his reforms in infrastructure, welfare, and grassroots development.
