Makinde to Visit Ologuneru Wednesday, Jokes About Akara Sellers Along Circular Road
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has announced that he will visit the Ologuneru area on Wednesday as part of his ongoing inspection of key road projects across the state, including the newly constructed Circular Road.
Makinde made the comment while addressing residents during a recent project tour. In a light-hearted remark that drew applause, the governor said those who previously sold fried akara along the route were welcome to return when he arrives.
“I’ll visit Ologuneru on Wednesday. Anyone who wants to fry akara again can come there; we will eat together,” he said, assuring residents that his administration is committed to ensuring the road brings economic benefits to surrounding communities.
The governor has been inspecting various sections of the Circular Road project to monitor progress and emphasize his administration’s determination to complete major infrastructural works before the end of his tenure.
Residents in Ologuneru and nearby communities have expressed hope that the governor’s visit will lead to further improvements in access roads, business opportunities, and security around the growing corridor.
