I Will Not Relent” on Securing the Nation, Assures Tinubu
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu issued a Sunday message to Nigerians, confirming recent successes in security operations and reiterating his commitment to tackling insecurity nationwide.
The President began by recalling his decision to cancel his scheduled trip to the G20 summit in South Africa, which he attributed to the need to coordinate domestic security efforts.
He then confirmed two major positive developments achieved through the efforts of the security forces over the past few days:
All 38 worshippers who were abducted from the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Eruku, Kwara State, have been rescued.
51 of the missing students from the Catholic School abduction in Niger State have been recovered.
President Tinubu assured the nation that he is closely monitoring the security situation and receiving continuous updates from the frontline.
He ended his message with a firm declaration of his commitment to the safety of all citizens:
“Let me be clear: I will not relent. Every Nigerian, in every state, has the right to safety and under my watch, we will secure this nation and protect our people.”
