Nnadozie Wins CAF Best Goalkeeper Award for Third Consecutive Year
Super Falcons star, Chiamaka Nnadozie has cemented her place among Africa’s football greats after winning the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award for the third consecutive year.
Nnadozie was crowned at the 2025 CAF Awards held in Rabat, Morocco, on Wednesday, adding yet another milestone to her growing legacy.
The Brighton shot-stopper had previously claimed the prestigious honour in 2023 and 2024.
The Nigerian goalkeeper enjoyed a remarkable year, featuring in every match as the Super Falcons clinched their 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title earlier in 2025.
Her consistency, leadership, and crucial saves were widely credited as key factors in Nigeria’s historic run.
Nnadozie beat Morocco’s Khadija Er-Rmichi and South Africa’s Andile Dlamini to claim the honour, further establishing her dominance in African women’s football.
In her acceptance speech, the 24-year-old expressed gratitude to the Confederation of African Football (CAF), the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), her national teammates, and her coaches at both club and country levels. She dedicated the award to everyone who had supported her journey.
Her latest achievement reinforces her status as one of the brightest talents in women’s football and a role model for aspiring goalkeepers across the continent.
