EFCC Nab Three Suspected APGA Vote Buyers in Anambra

In a separate development concerning electoral integrity, operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested three individuals suspected of vote buying during the governorship election held on Saturday, November 8, 2025.

The suspects are alleged to be affiliated with the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

Details of the Arrests:

Emeka Ilokasia: Arrested at Nawfia Ward 2, Njikoka Local Government Area.

Nwachuwu Loretta: Arrested at Ward 2 (008), Awkuzu, Oyi Local Government Area.

Emuka Chuwudi: Arrested at Umunachi village, Dunukofia Local Government Area.

The EFCC confirmed that all three suspects were arrested while participating in the governorship election and stated that they will be charged to court once investigations are concluded.

The reports highlight two major aspects of the election: surprising results in a key constituency and the challenges of vote buying.
