Trump Has Seen the Best Version of Nigeria Since 1960,.Says Habibu Bello Mayana

Businessman and political commentator, Habibu Bello Mayana, has declared that U.S. President Donald Trump has witnessed the best version of Nigeria since its independence in 1960, commending the strides recorded under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration

In a statement issued on Thursday, Mayana said Nigeria’s current economic resurgence and national stability have surprised even long-time international observers like Trump, who, according to him, “never expected such a remarkable turnaround. Donald Trump has seen the best version of Nigeria since 1960 — a Nigeria he never expected. The economy is stabilizing, the naira is appreciating, jobs are being created, GDP is growing, and Nigerians are uniting,” Mayana stated. He attributed the progress to President Tinubu’s reform-driven leadership, describing his policies as decisive steps that have restored confidence in Nigeria’s economy both locally and globally. According to Mayana, the steady appreciation of the naira, renewed investor interest, and ongoing infrastructure projects are clear indicators that the nation is on a recovery path after years of economic turbulence. President Tinubu, you’ve just gained another strong reason for our support,” he added, noting that Nigerians at home and abroad are beginning to see tangible results from government reforms. Mayana also urged Nigerians to remain patient and supportive of the administration’s economic agenda, emphasizing that sustainable national growth requires collective effort, unity, and faith in the country’s potential.
