Marital Rift Deepens as Regina Daniels Accuses Senator Ned Nwoko of Ordering Arrest of Her Siblings
The marital crisis between Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels and her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, has taken a disturbing turn, following fresh allegations that the lawmaker ordered the arrest of her brother and sister.
In an emotional outburst shared on social media, Regina Daniels accused her husband of using his influence to get two of her siblings detained. She claimed her “big brother and big sister” were arrested under orders from Nwoko and expressed fear that her younger sister could be targeted next.
“I am losing my mind,” the actress lamented.
“My siblings have done nothing wrong. Please, leave me and my family alone.” She alleged that the arrests were part of an effort to pressure her into returning to her husband’s home and to a supposed rehabilitation program that he insists she needs.
Reports from several Nigerian outlets, including Premium Times and Sahara Reporters, confirmed that Daniels’ posts sparked public outrage, with many calling for an independent probe into the alleged arrests.
Senator Nwoko, representing Delta North in the National Assembly, has not denied or confirmed the claim directly.
However, his media team had earlier accused Regina of “erratic behaviour” and alleged substance use, insisting that she required medical attention and professional rehabilitation.
The senator’s camp maintains that his actions were motivated by concern for her well-being, not malice.
As of the latest reports, the Nigerian Police Force has not issued any official statement confirming the arrest of Regina Daniels’ siblings or the circumstances surrounding their detention.
The situation has fueled widespread debate online, with fans and human rights advocates urging authorities to ensure the safety of the actress and her family. Many have also questioned whether state power is being misused in what appears to be a private marital dispute.
The unfolding drama continues to dominate conversations on Nigerian social media, as both supporters and critics of the celebrity couple await clarity from law enforcement and the senator’s office.
