Work with Renewed Commitment to Integrity, Kano Police Commissioner Charges Officers as he Decorates Newly Promoted 29

The Kano State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Bakori, has decorated 29 newly promoted officers of the command with their new ranks, urging them to demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and dedication in their service to the nation.

Speaking during the decoration ceremony held on Monday at the Officers’ Mess in Kano, Bakori described the promotion as a reward for hard work and a renewed call to higher responsibility.

He explained that the promotions were approved by the Police Service Commission on the recommendation of the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.

Bakori expressed appreciation to the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 1, Kano, for his continued mentorship and support, which he said had significantly contributed to the efficiency and growth of the Nigeria Police Force.

According to him, two officers were promoted from Chief Superintendent of Police to Assistant Commissioner of Police, 21 from Superintendent to Chief Superintendent, while six officers moved from Deputy Superintendent to Superintendent of Police.

Congratulating the beneficiaries, Bakori reminded them that promotion within the police service comes with increased expectations and responsibilities.

“Your promotion is not merely a reward for past accomplishments but a call to greater responsibility,” he said.

“The challenges facing our nation today require innovative thinking, teamwork, and unwavering commitment. Lead by example and inspire your subordinates to do the same.”

The commissioner reaffirmed the command’s resolve to maintain law and order across the state, assuring residents that the police remained committed to ensuring safety and security for all.
