Tinubu’s Commitment’ to Southern Kaduna Development Unmatched, Says Abbas
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, has praised President Bola Tinubu for demonstrating an “unmatched commitment” to the development of Southern Kaduna.
He made this assertion at a rally in Kafanchan, where he welcomed Daniel Amos and Senator Sunday Marshall Katung to the All Progressives Congress (APC) following their defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Speaker Abbas claimed the President has listened to the region’s “long-standing cries for inclusion” and responded with concrete actions, underscoring that these projects serve as “living proofs of inclusion and justice.”
He detailed three significant federal projects initiated by the administration as evidence of this commitment.
These include the establishment of the Federal University of Applied Sciences in Kachia, which he called a “bold symbol of renewal and progress” set to shape the next generation of innovators.
Additionally, the creation of the Federal Medical Centre in Kafanchan is intended to enhance quality healthcare access for citizens.
Crucially for security, the establishment of the Military Command Centre in Samaru Kataf was highlighted as a decisive step toward achieving lasting peace, protecting communities, and restoring confidence in the region’s safety.
Speaker Abbas also reserved praise for Governor Uba Sani, describing him as a strong pillar of support whose inclusive governance is building bridges and prioritizing development over political divides.
He concluded his address with a profound pledge to the people of Southern Kaduna. He promised that, under the combined leadership of President Tinubu, the National Assembly, and the Kaduna State Government, the region would transition from being at the margins to standing “at the heart of Nigeria’s progress.”
He vowed to continue working until core needs including education without fear, good road connectivity, fully equipped hospitals, resources for farmers, and job opportunities for youth are met, assuring them that the current momentum for unity and growth “will only grow stronger.”
