Denmark’s Wealthiest Businessman Anders Povlsen Visits Tinubu at State House
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday welcomed Denmark’s richest man and Chief Executive Officer of Bestseller, Anders Holch Povlsen, to the State House in Abuja.
The visit was made public by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, who shared photos and details of the meeting via his official X (formerly Twitter) handle.
Onanuga explained that Povlsen, who also chairs the Bestseller Foundation, was accompanied by the Danish Ambassador to Nigeria, Jens Hansen, and other high-ranking Danish officials.
Key figures from the Nigerian government, including the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, and the Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, were also present at the meeting.
In his post, Onanuga wrote, “Denmark’s richest man, Mr. Anders Holch Povlsen of BESTSELLER and the BESTSELLER FOUNDATION, visited President Bola Tinubu at the State House, Abuja, Tuesday, October 28, 2025.”
The engagement is part of the Tinubu administration’s continued push to attract international investors and deepen Nigeria’s economic relations with Denmark, particularly in the areas of innovation, technology, and sustainable development.
