APC Sets National Convention for March 25, 2026

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has scheduled its next national convention for March 25, 2026, as part of efforts to strengthen the party’s internal structure ahead of future political activities.

According to party sources, the ruling party will begin preparations with the conduct of ward, local government, and state congresses in December 2025.

These exercises are expected to produce delegates and executives who will participate in the national convention.

The planned congresses will also serve as an avenue for reconciliation among members and reorganization of the party’s leadership at various levels, especially in states where internal disputes have recently emerged.

An APC official who spoke on condition of anonymity said the timetable was designed to give the party ample time to resolve pending issues before the 2026 convention.

“The goal is to ensure inclusiveness, transparency, and unity as the party prepares for future elections,” the source said.

The national convention is expected to elect new members into the National Working Committee (NWC) and other key leadership positions within the party.

Meanwhile, the APC is expected to release an official timetable and guidelines for the congresses and convention in the coming weeks.
