Bayern Munich Extend Perfect Run With 3–0 Victory Over 10-Man Gladbach

Bayern Munich maintained their flawless start to the season with a 3–0 triumph over 10-man Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday, extending their lead at the top of the Bundesliga table to five points.

Second-half goals from Joshua Kimmich, Raphael Guerreiro, and 17-year-old Lennart Karl sealed the win for the defending champions, who have now recorded 13 consecutive victories across all competitions this season.

It was a rare night without a goal for Harry Kane, whose effort in the second half was ruled out for offside — only the second time this season the English striker has failed to find the net.

Gladbach’s troubles began early when Jens Castrop was dismissed in the 19th minute. Initially shown a yellow card for a dangerous challenge on Luis Díaz, the midfielder saw it upgraded to a red following a VAR review.

Despite enjoying a numerical advantage, Bayern struggled to find rhythm in the first hour, having made six changes to the starting lineup. Notably, young goalkeeper Jonas Urbig replaced captain Manuel Neuer between the posts.

Kimmich finally broke the deadlock in the 64th minute with a powerful strike through a crowded box, before Guerreiro doubled the lead five minutes later after a slick passing move.

Gladbach squandered a chance to reduce the deficit when Kevin Stoeger hit the post from the penalty spot with 15 minutes remaining.

Teenager Lennart Karl put the result beyond doubt in the 81st minute, curling home a spectacular strike to round off a dominant second-half display and keep Bayern’s perfect record intact.
