Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umar Radda, on Thursday, swore in three new commissioners and eight permanent secretaries as part of his administration’s efforts to strengthen governance and improve public service delivery in the state.

The swearing-in ceremony, held at the Government House in Katsina, marked another phase of the governor’s commitment to building a transparent and accountable civil service capable of meeting the needs of citizens.

The new commissioners are Yusuf Jibia, Aisha Malumfashi, and Sirajo Abukur. The eight permanent secretaries sworn in include Yusuf Ahmed, Aminu Ibrahim, Aishatu Abdullahi, Dasuki Ibrahim Abubakar, Lawal Abashe, Ado Yahaya, Sani Rabi’u Jibia, and Nasiru Ladan.

Governor Radda charged the appointees to view their new roles not as rewards, but as solemn responsibilities to serve the people of Katsina State with integrity, diligence, and transparency. He emphasized that his administration would continue to prioritize competence, accountability, and ethical conduct in public service appointments.

According to him, the appointments come at a time when his administration is about two and a half years into office, making it necessary to reposition the government for greater efficiency and responsiveness.

He urged the new commissioners and permanent secretaries to uphold public trust, contribute meaningfully to policy implementation, and work in harmony with other members of the executive to achieve the goals of the Katsina Restoration Agenda.

Governor Radda reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving governance, deepening reforms, and ensuring that public institutions serve the people effectively.
