Motorcyclist Dies in Lagos Crash While Riding Against Traffic

A tragic road accident on Thursday claimed the life of a motorcyclist along the Apapa–Oshodi Expressway in the Ibafon area of Lagos State.

The incident, which occurred around 11:30 a.m., involved a speeding truck, a Honda Accord car, and the deceased motorcyclist.

According to eyewitnesses, the motorcyclist was riding against traffic when he collided head-on with the car.

Moments later, the car was struck by the oncoming truck, worsening the impact of the crash.

The motorcyclist reportedly died on the spot due to the severity of the collision. The truck driver fled the scene immediately after the incident, abandoning both his vehicle and the victim.

Emergency responders and traffic officials later arrived at the scene to remove the wreckage and restore traffic flow along the busy expressway.

Authorities have since launched an investigation to apprehend the fleeing truck driver and determine the full circumstances leading to the fatal crash.
