My Second-Term Bid a Divine Project, Claims Soludo, Vows to Deepen Anambra’s Development

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has described his re-election campaign as “a divine project and a mass movement” that embodies the collective resolve of the people to sustain ongoing development across the state.
Speaking at a campaign rally in Onitsha South Local Government Area on Tuesday, Soludo said the enthusiastic turnout of residents reflected a shared commitment to progress under his administration.
He was accompanied by his deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim.
“My candidacy is a divine project and a mass movement which resonates deeply with the people and ignites a sense of collective purpose and commitment to continued development in the state,” the governor said.
“I express my heartfelt thanks to the community for their unwavering support. This is a campaign like no other in our history.”
Soludo highlighted key achievements of his administration in Onitsha South, including the establishment of a specialist general hospital in Fegge, improved infrastructure in public schools, and expanded social welfare programmes.
He assured residents that his second term would consolidate and expand these gains.
Several community members praised the governor’s performance during the rally. The President General of Fegge, Okwudili Nwankwo, lauded Soludo’s youth empowerment initiative, saying,
“Under Governor Soludo, we have seen remarkable changes, particularly with initiatives like the ‘One Youth, Two Skills’ programme. This has empowered many of our youth and provided them with valuable skills for a brighter future.”
Another resident, Chibuike Ugo, commended the administration’s free education and free maternal healthcare policies.
“Free education, free antenatal care and delivery services have made a significant difference in our community. These programs are not just policies; they are lifelines for our families,” he said.
Similarly, Franklin Onyeke urged residents to support the governor’s re-election, expressing optimism that Soludo would “continue to lead Anambra towards greatness.”
The campaign received a boost with the presentation of a ₦20 million cheque donation from supporters to further its activities.
Governor Soludo, the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), will face 16 other contenders in the November 8, 2025, Anambra governorship election.
