Governor Uba Sani Receives Over 50,000 PDP Decampees into APC in Kaduna

In what has been described as the largest political defection in the state’s history, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State officially received over 50,000 decampees from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and other political groups into the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The event, held at Murtala Square, featured an electric atmosphere as party leaders and thousands of supporters cheered the historic switch.
Governor Sani formally welcomed the new members, symbolized by the presentation of APC flags, signifying their full integration into the ruling party. Speaking on their behalf, Hussaini Jallo praised the APC under Governor Sani as being inclusive and progressive, assuring that the decampees are ready to contribute to the party’s continued growth and success in Kaduna State.
In their separate remarks, APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajuddeen Abbas, applauded Governor Sani’s leadership, viewing the massive defection as a testament to his commitment to peace, good governance, and inclusivity.
They both assured the new members of equal opportunities and a level playing field within the party.
Governor Sani reaffirmed that the APC operates as a family built on fairness and justice, guaranteeing the decampees the same privileges and rights as every other member. With 50,000 new members pledging allegiance, the APC appears set to consolidate its strength ahead of future political contests.
