AA Zaura Asks Supporters to Stop Lobbying for His Appointment, Focus on Tinubu’s Achievements

Alhaji Abdussalam Abdulkarim Zaura (AA Zaura), an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain and well-known philanthropist, has publicly urged his supporters to cease all calls for his appointment to political office.
Zaura stated that such lobbying efforts are unnecessary and serve as a distraction from the crucial work of promoting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration and its achievements.
In a statement released by his media aide, Dahiru Maihuddadu, Zaura acknowledged the “overwhelming show of support and solidarity” from his followers who believe he has the capacity to serve. However, he stressed that the national priority should not be personal appointments.
According to him, “now is not the time to lobby or campaign for appointments. Rather, it is the time to join hands in promoting and showcasing the good works of our dear President, His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
Zaura emphasized that Nigeria is currently in a defining period that requires collective responsibility and constructive partnership between citizens and the government.
He specifically highlighted President Tinubu’s reforms in infrastructure renewal, social investment, and economic stabilization, stating that these initiatives under the Renewed Hope Agenda deserve to be amplified and supported across all platforms.
He insisted that the duty of loyal party members is to “stand firm with the President and contribute in our own ways to the success of his vision for a prosperous Nigeria.”
A noted figure in philanthropy and youth empowerment, Zaura reaffirmed his commitment to serving humanity through continuous humanitarian interventions and community development.
He noted that leadership is not only about holding public office but also about making an impact in people’s lives.
He concluded by appealing to his supporters in Kano and beyond to channel their energy into mobilizing public support for the APC-led federal government, fostering unity among party members, and spreading awareness of the administration’s achievements.
