Tears of Joy as Student Receives Laptop Gift at 40th Birthday Celebration

It was an emotional moment filled with tears of joy and gratitude as a young student, Maka Swivel, from Government Secondary School, St. Monty, Abuja, received a surprise laptop gift during a 40th birthday celebration event over the weekend.

The touching moment unfolded when Maka, who had long dreamed of owning a laptop, was unexpectedly called out to receive the gift from Mr. Sheyitunubu, one of the celebrants and a supporter of youth empowerment initiatives.

Overwhelmed with emotion, Maka could hardly contain her excitement.

“My name is Maka Swivel, from Government Secondary School, St. Monty Abuja. I’ve always wanted a laptop, but I didn’t think I’d get it this soon. I thought maybe when I entered the university. Thank you so much, God bless you,” she said tearfully.

Maka also expressed heartfelt appreciation to the NUELA Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to supporting education and skill development among young people.

“I wish the NUELA Foundation prosperity to continue to grow. And it will be known all over the world,” she said joyfully.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Larry, CEO of Inspire Academy, announced that Maka would be enrolled in a free digital literacy training program to help her learn how to use the laptop effectively.

“By the power conferred on all of us, we are going to train her on how to use the laptop productively and empower her for the future,” he said.

The atmosphere was filled with applause and cheers from students and guests as Maka was assured of mentorship and continued support in her educational journey.

The event highlighted the NUELA Foundation’s ongoing commitment to empowering young Nigerians through access to technology, education, and life-changing opportunities.

The gesture not only changed one girl’s life but also served as a powerful reminder of the impact of kindness and community-driven empowerment.
