Egyptian President El-Sisi Eulogises Trump as “The Only One Who Can Bring Peace to the Middle East”

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has heaped rare and glowing praise on U.S. President Donald J. Trump, declaring him “the only one capable of bringing peace to the Middle East” amid renewed global efforts to end ongoing regional conflicts.

Speaking during a joint press briefing following a high-level meeting in Cairo, President el-Sisi hailed Trump’s past and potential role in stabilizing the region, referencing his administration’s brokering of historic peace deals and his strong influence among regional leaders.

“Your Excellency is the only one capable of bringing this about and bringing an end to this war,” el-Sisi said passionately, addressing Trump directly. “You are the only one who is able to bring about peace and achieve peace in this part of the world. Thank you, Mr. President.”

The comments drew thunderous applause from the Egyptian delegation and marked one of the most direct endorsements of Trump’s diplomatic influence by an Arab leader since he left office.

During the meeting, discussions reportedly focused on efforts to de-escalate the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, the growing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, and prospects for a wider regional peace framework that could include Saudi Arabia and Iran.

Trump, visibly moved by el-Sisi’s remarks, responded by thanking the Egyptian leader for his “tremendous leadership” and reaffirmed his “unwavering commitment” to achieving what he called “a lasting peace built on strength, respect, and stability.”

“President el-Sisi is a strong leader and a friend,” Trump said. “We accomplished great things together and we can do it again.

The people of the Middle East deserve peace, and we will make it happen.”

Political analysts say el-Sisi’s statement could signal a renewed Arab openness to U.S.-led diplomacy should Trump return to global leadership influence. It also underscores Egypt’s role as a key mediator in the region’s peace efforts.

The remarks have since gone viral on social media, sparking mixed reactions across the political spectrum with supporters hailing Trump’s peacemaking legacy and critics accusing el-Sisi of politicizing the region’s complex security issues.

As tensions continue to simmer in Gaza and across the wider Middle East, el-Sisi’s declaration may mark a turning point in the narrative around who holds the credibility and leverage to finally bring about peace.
