Broadcast Station Denies Land Encroachment, Seeks Partnership with Oyo NUJ

The management of Dominion Broadcast station has issued a statement denying allegations that it is encroaching on a parcel of land belonging to the Oyo State council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ).
The denial follows a recent emergency congress held by the Oyo NUJ, which issued a communique accusing the station of trespass and calling on the state government and security agencies to intervene.
In a statement signed by its Chief Executive Officer, Femi Adefila, the broadcast station clarified that its approach to the NUJ was in “good faith” and aimed at seeking “mutually beneficial partnership opportunities” to strengthen both institutions and enhance the quality of media service delivery in the community.
“Dominion Broadcast Group has no interest whatsoever in forceful acquisition or trespass of the said property,” Adefila insisted.
He reaffirmed that their intention was to explore cooperation, not encroachment. The station concluded by stating it remains open to dialogue and constructive engagement with the Oyo NUJ to resolve the concerns amicably and foster a positive working relationship.
