ASUU Declares Two-Week Warning Strike
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has declared a two-week warning strike, instructing its members across Nigeria to immediately withdraw their services.
ASUU President Chris Piwuna made the announcement during a press conference at the ASUU Headquarters at the University of Abuja. Piwuna stated that the two-week period serves as a window for the government to conclude ongoing negotiations with the union.
He accused the government of insincerity in implementing the demands previously agreed upon with the union, which necessitated the declaration of the strike.
