Police Arrest Suspects, Launch Investigation Into Abia Incid

Police in Abia State have confirmed the arrest of several suspects linked to an ongoing criminal investigation, with authorities stating that the individuals are currently being held at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Umuahia.

The Abia State Police Command said the suspects were taken into custody following intelligence reports that led to their arrest at different locations within the state.

Spokesperson for the Command, Maureen Chinaka, noted that the case has been transferred to the SCID for further investigation to unravel the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

“The suspects are currently in custody as investigations continue at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Abia Command,” she confirmed in a statement made available to the press.

Police authorities have, however, assured residents that justice will be served as detectives intensify efforts to uncover all persons involved.
