BAT Ideological Group Presents Handbook to Lagos LG Chairmen Ahead of Official Launch

Ahead of its official launch in Lagos, the Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT) Ideological Group has presented its official handbook to the 20 local government and 37 local council development area (LCDA) chairmen, along with heads of budget departments across Lagos State.
The presentation took place in Abuja during a two-day certification, planning, and budgeting training programme attended by the officials, who are members of the Institute of Planning, Nigeria.
Convener of the BAT Ideological Group, Comrade Bamidele Atoyebi, said the gesture was part of efforts to align grassroots leaders with President Bola Tinubu’s vision of governance rooted in accountability, inclusion, and sustainable reform.
He noted that the handbook, which captures the president’s developmental ideology and reform principles, would serve as a guide for council leaders as they implement government policies at the local level.
“We need to train every member of our communities on programmes such as TVET, NELFUND, and the dialysis reform,
“They must also understand President Tinubu’s ideology, the vision he carries for Nigeria so that when they are asked, they can confidently communicate it, Atoyebi said.”
Atoyebi explained that the group decided to present the handbook during the Abuja training to take advantage of the gathering before the official unveiling in Lagos.
He also disclosed that the Institute of Planning, Nigeria, is working toward becoming a chartered institute, which will further enhance professional standards in planning and budgeting across local governments.
The BAT Ideological Group, according to Atoyebi, will continue to promote civic awareness, policy understanding, and capacity building among government officials and citizens in line with the president’s reform agenda.
