18 Days to Ekiti APC Primary: Supporters List Key Achievements, Say BAO Deserves Re-Election

As the countdown to the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary in Ekiti State reaches 18 days, supporters of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) have intensified calls for his re-election, citing what they describe as “unprecedented achievements” across sectors.
According to the group, Oyebanji’s administration has demonstrated visible commitment to infrastructure, agriculture, education, and digital innovation, which they believe make him deserving of another term in office.
Among the governor’s key achievements highlighted are the rehabilitation of the Ikere Igbara Odo Road, a vital route linking several communities and easing movement of goods and people. Supporters also pointed to the distribution of 2.5 million cocoa seedlings to farmers a major agricultural empowerment initiative aimed at revitalizing cocoa production and boosting the state’s economy.
In addition, Oyebanji’s government recently launched the Ekiti State Digital Economy Policy (2023–2027), designed to promote innovation, technology-driven governance, and youth entrepreneurship.
The administration has also recorded progress in the education and health sectors, particularly with the upgrading of the College of Health Sciences in Ijero, which is expected to improve the quality of health training and service delivery in the state.
With barely three weeks to the primary election, Oyebanji’s supporters insist that his performance in office has set a new benchmark for governance in Ekiti.
“Ekiti has a choice to make, but the facts speak for themselves,” one campaign statement read.
“Governor Oyebanji has shown competence, compassion, and commitment qualities that the state needs to sustain its growth.”
The APC primary is expected to be a defining moment for the ruling party as it prepares for the 2026 governorship election in Ekiti State.
