Zulum Hails Obasanjo’s Agricultural Legacy, Calls on Tinubu to Develop

Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State used the platform of the Bauchi State Economic and Investment Summit on Wednesday to urge President Bola Tinubu to focus on the development of Bauchi State and Northern Nigeria as part of his broader commitment to national growth.

Speaking at the event, where President Tinubu was represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Governor Zulum welcomed investors and ambassadors present.

He implored them “to use this opportunity of this summit, and to develop Bauchi State, not only Bauchi State, but Nigeria in general.”

Commendation for Obasanjo’s Agricultural Initiatives.

Governor Zulum also took the opportunity to commend former President Olusegun Obasanjo for his enduring initiatives in the field of agriculture, specifically during his time as a former military Head of State.

“I want to use this opportunity to commend… the former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Olusegun Obasanjo, for the great initiatives that he has been doing, or I can say he has done, during his tenure as a military administrator of Nigeria on agriculture,” Zulum stated.

He recalled with nostalgia the impact of programs Obasanjo initiated when Zulum was a primary school student, citing the “real revolution” among other initiatives.

Furthermore, Zulum highlighted the significant investment in Ota Farm, noting that it “has also brought enormous potentials to Nigeria.”
