Tinubu Urges Global Investors to Tap Nigeria’s Expanding Opportunities

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has declared that there is no better time to invest in Nigeria than now, citing the country’s improving economic indicators and renewed government commitment to business-friendly reforms.

Speaking on Wednesday at the maiden Bauchi Investment Summit held in Bauchi, the president—represented by Vice-President Kashim Shettima said the federal government’s economic policies are beginning to yield results, restoring investor confidence and stabilising key sectors.

The event, themed “Revealing a Resilient Economy: Optimising Investment Partnerships,” was organised by the Bauchi State Government to highlight the state’s potential in agriculture, solid minerals, tourism, and renewable energy.

President Tinubu noted that Nigeria’s external reserves rose to $43 billion in September 2025, signalling renewed confidence in the economy and stronger foreign exchange inflows.

“There is no better time to choose Nigeria than now,” Tinubu said. “Our administration is focused on creating a robust investment environment through transparent policies, infrastructure expansion, and security reforms that guarantee returns for investors.”

He commended the Bauchi State Government for organising the summit, describing it as a strategic step toward aligning subnational economies with the federal government’s investment agenda.

In his remarks, Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed said the summit was aimed at attracting both local and foreign investors to harness the state’s untapped potential.

He emphasised that the government has introduced reforms to improve the ease of doing business, strengthen public-private partnerships, and promote sustainable development.

The summit attracted participants from the private sector, international development partners, and diplomatic missions, who explored opportunities for collaboration across key sectors of the economy.
