Senator Natasha Back from Suspension, Resumes Sitting

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, has resumed plenary at the National Assembly after a brief absence.
Her return on Tuesday drew warm reception from colleagues who described her as a dedicated and courageous legislator.
Akpoti-Uduaghan, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was seen exchanging pleasantries with fellow senators before the commencement of proceedings.
Sources within the National Assembly said the senator’s return marks her full resumption to legislative duties following weeks of engagements in her constituency and other official matters.
Akpoti-Uduaghan, known for her strong advocacy on gender inclusion, youth empowerment, and infrastructural development in Kogi Central, is expected to continue pushing motions and bills that align with her campaign promises.
During Tuesday’s sitting, she participated in deliberations on national issues and committee activities, reaffirming her commitment to effective representation.
Since her election in 2023, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan has been vocal on issues affecting the welfare of Nigerians, especially in the areas of education, security, and economic opportunities for women.
Her return, observers say, will further strengthen the PDP’s voice in the upper chamber and boost legislative debates on national development.
