Two Sisters Kidnapped on Okene-Auchi Road Regain Freedom

Peace Onyesom, a newly qualified lawyer, and her sister, Gift Onyesom, who were abducted along the Okene-Auchi highway last Friday, have been released.
The siblings were reportedly on their way back to Benin, Edo State, after Peace’s call-to-the-bar ceremony at the Nigerian Law School on September 23 when the incident occurred.
Confirming their release, their brother, Godspower Onyesom, expressed relief, saying his sisters had safely returned home.
In a similar confirmation, former aide to the Delta State Governor, Harrison Gwamnishu, disclosed that the victims were handed over near a village in Okpella, Edo State. “Peace Onyesom and Gift Onyesom, kidnapped while returning from the call-to-bar ceremony in Abuja, have just been released to us near a village in Okpella. It is a tough journey,” Gwamnishu wrote in a social media post.
