President Tinubu to Address Nigerians on Independence Day
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced that he will deliver a nationwide broadcast on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, to mark Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary.
According to a statement released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the address is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m.
Onanuga explained that all television and radio stations, as well as other electronic media platforms, have been asked to link up with the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) to air the president’s speech live.
The presidency noted that the broadcast will form part of activities lined up to commemorate the country’s independence celebration.
