The Nigerian media industry has been thrown into mourning following the tragic death of Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu, a news anchor, reporter, and producer with ARISE News Channel.
Maduagwu, fondly known by colleagues as Sommie, was killed in the early hours of Monday, September 29, 2025, during an armed robbery attack at her residence in Katampe, Abuja. She was 29 years old.
