Bonmatí Wins Third Consecutive Women’s Ballon d’Or

Barcelona midfielder Aitana Bonmatí has been crowned the Women’s Ballon d’Or winner for the third consecutive year, cementing her dominance in world football after another glittering season at club and international level.

The Spanish star was instrumental in Barcelona’s historic treble triumph, guiding the Catalan giants to the Liga F title, the UEFA Women’s Champions League, and the domestic cup.

Beyond silverware, Bonmatí delivered consistently outstanding performances, contributing four goals and five assists in the 2024/25 Champions League campaign.

Her influence also extended to the national team, further strengthening her case as the standout player in women’s football globally.

Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain were honoured with the Best Team of the Year award, capping off a ceremony that celebrated the very best of the sport.

With this third successive Ballon d’Or, Bonmatí joins an elite list of players who have dominated the global stage, underlining her status as one of the greatest of her generation.
