Political Leaders Eulogise Oluremi Tinubu at 65, Hail Legacy of Service

Political leaders in Lagos have showered praise on Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, as she marked her 65th birthday on Sunday, describing her as a symbol of compassion, strength, and service to humanity.

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), through its spokesman, Seye Oladejo, called Mrs Tinubu “a rare gift to our nation.”

He highlighted her years as a three-term senator for Lagos Central and her current role as First Lady, stressing her “exceptional leadership, humility, and dedication to Nigerians’ well-being.”

Oladejo said her tireless advocacy for women’s empowerment, youth development, education, and care for the less privileged “have positively touched countless lives and stand as her enduring legacy of service.”

He described her as “an exemplary role model, a source of strength, and an inspiration across generations,” adding that Lagos APC joined family, friends, and millions of well-wishers worldwide in celebrating “a distinguished daughter of Lagos and pride of the nation.”

He prayed for her continued health, wisdom, and strength.

In a separate message, Dr Abdul-Azeez Adediran (Jandor), Lead Visioner of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, also saluted the First Lady’s impact.

Through his spokesman, Gbenga Ogunleye, Adediran praised her as “a woman of grace, strength, and uncommon dedication to national service.”

He pointed to her decades in public life as legislator, advocate for empowerment, and now First Lady, all marked by “compassion, integrity, and commitment to Nigerians’ welfare.”

Adediran applauded the Renewed Hope Initiative, noting its partnership with the Tony Elumelu Foundation, which has supported 18,500 women nationwide, as well as her MSME grants to 37,000 beneficiaries and her N1 billion donation to the National Cancer Fund.

“Today offers an opportunity to acknowledge your exemplary and impactful service,” he said, commending her devotion to family, nation, and the less privileged.

“I join millions of Nigerians in praying for your health, strength, and wisdom as you support the President and help shape a brighter future,” Adediran added.
