Governor Sule’s Aide, Deedat, Abducted in Nasarawa

Muhammed Egye Osolafia, widely recognized as Deedat and serving as the Senior Special Assistant on Humanitarian Services to Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, has allegedly fallen victim to abduction by armed assailants.
The governor’s aide, Osolafia, was purportedly seized upon his arrival at his domicile in the Tudun Amba vicinity of Lafia, the state capital, on Saturday evening.
Witness accounts suggest the gunmen descended upon the area, discharging their firearms indiscriminately into the air to instill terror among nearby residents before proceeding directly to their intended target.
Mr. Peter Ahemba, the Senior Special Adviser to Governor Sule on Public Affairs, corroborated the incident to the Daily Post, lamenting it as both tragic and regrettable.
He detailed that he was informed of the kidnapping by another colleague.
The abduction of Osolafia follows approximately two months after the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Culture, Barrister Yusuf Musa, was similarly taken from his home in Ungwan Nungu, also located in Lafia.
Efforts to reach SP Ramhan Nansel, the Police Public Relations Officer, for comments on the incident proved futile.
