EPL: Cunha, Mount Recover from Injuries for Man United, Ready for Chelsea Clash

Manchester United have been handed a timely boost ahead of their crucial Premier League encounter with Chelsea this weekend, as manager Rúben Amorim confirmed that Matheus Cunha and Mason Mount are back in the squad.

Amorim revealed during his pre-match press conference on Thursday that both players had returned to full training this week and will be available for selection when United travel to Stamford Bridge.

Cunha, who joined United in the summer, has been sidelined in recent weeks due to a muscle issue, while Mount has endured another frustrating spell on the treatment table following his injury-hit debut campaign at Old Trafford.

Their return is expected to provide United with fresh attacking options as they look to maintain momentum in the title race.

The Red Devils face a stern test against Chelsea, with the Blues showing signs of resurgence under their new manager. Amorim, however, expressed confidence in his squad’s readiness for the challenge.

“We are happy to have both Matheus and Mason back,” the Portuguese coach said. “They’ve trained well and add quality and depth to our options. Games like this require every player at their best, and it’s good to see the squad coming together again.”

United currently sit above while Chelsea are pushing to close the gap on the top four, making Saturday’s clash a high-stakes affair for both sides.
