Bombardier Endorses Quality of Dangote Refinery’s Jet Fuel for Global Excellence

Bombardier, the renowned Canadian aircraft manufacturer, has extended its endorsement to the Dangote Petroleum Refinery, lauding it as a facility of global excellence and commending its substantial production of jet fuel as a vital enhancement for the aviation sector.

Pierre Beaudoin, Chairman of Bombardier’s Board of Directors, led a delegation on a visit to the site, expressing admiration for the visionary endeavor that culminated in the establishment of the world’s largest single-train refinery, situated in Nigeria.

The delegation comprised of Regional Vice Presidents Hani Haddadin and Chris Davey, alongside Corporate Director Jean Bernier.

Beaudoin extolled Aliko Dangote, the President of the Dangote Group, for his visionary zeal and unwavering dedication to revolutionizing Africa through such a colossal undertaking.

He remarked, “The refinery’s large-scale production of jet fuel is a boon for the industry. From my understanding, their jet fuel is environmentally conscious, eliminating sulphur, which is truly remarkable.”

He further praised the incorporation of state-of-the-art technology at the refinery, stating, “As an aircraft manufacturer, I appreciate when investments are made in essential products, and that is precisely what I observe here.”

“It is a privilege to witness the world’s largest single-train refinery, leaving me with a profound impression of the project.

“This is a project of global distinction. It heralds a wave of innovation across Africa. It signifies that the pinnacle of refinery projects worldwide is nestled in Nigeria,” he added.

Dangote, accompanied by the Group’s Vice President for Oil & Gas, Devakumar Edwin, guided the Bombardier delegation through the refinery.

He affirmed that the facility was constructed to meet world-class standards, producing petroleum products that align with international specifications.

He highlighted that the refinery was engineered to adhere to emission and effluent standards established by the World Bank, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the European Union (EU), and Nigeria’s Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR).

He underscored the refinery’s successful penetration into markets across Europe, Asia, America, and other global regions, noting its ample capacity to satisfy domestic demand while also exporting surplus products.
