APC Says Tinubu’s Achievements Will Secure 2027 Re-Election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s record in office will guarantee the party victory in the 2027 presidential election, regardless of opposition strategies.

Party leaders maintain that Tinubu’s sweeping reforms—particularly the removal of the fuel subsidy, foreign exchange liberalisation, and new measures to boost oil production—are already showing positive results.

They point to a rebound in foreign reserves, improved petrol supply, projections of economic growth above 3.5 percent, and rising crude output as evidence that the administration is steering Nigeria toward stability.

According to the APC, defections from rival parties and what it describes as “undeniable achievements” in governance further strengthen its position ahead of 2027.

Party officials insist that Nigerians will increasingly feel the impact of ongoing reforms and rally behind the government when the time comes to vote.

The optimism comes as opposition parties continue to accuse the administration of worsening hardship. Critics argue that while reforms may be yielding macroeconomic gains, ordinary citizens still grapple with surging food prices, inflation, and an unrelenting cost-of-living crisis.

Security concerns—ranging from banditry and kidnappings to insurgent attacks—also remain pressing challenges for the government.

Despite these criticisms, APC leaders insist that Tinubu’s reforms will, in time, translate into broad-based benefits, leaving the opposition with little ground to challenge the party.

They believe incumbency, combined with visible results before 2027, will tip the balance in their favour.

For now, the debate highlights a political divide: while the ruling party touts progress and insists “no magic can stop Tinubu’s victory,” the opposition argues that public frustration over hardship could reshape the political landscape ahead of the next election.
